TRT: A Technique for All

About

In our office, we utilize Torque Release Technique (TRT). This is a technique that is gentle, specific, and scientific. It is backed by research and a technique that allows us to see people of all ages and stages. We can even serve individuals who have had spinal surgeries or have been told Chiropractic care may not be the best option. TRT is an instrument-assisted technique and does not require the “twisting,” “cracking,” and “popping” that many people think of when they think of traditional chiropractic care. Our gentle technique has provided a great opportunity for people to be introduced to chiropractic care with prior reservations.

The History

The Torque Release Technique (TRT) was developed by Dr. Jay Holder, who holds his MD, his DC, and a PhD; TRT is considered a modern chiropractic technique founded on research, specifically from a randomized controlled trial with a placebo control, making it unique in the field. This technique utilizes a specialized instrument called the "Integrator" to deliver adjustments based on torque and recoil, aiming to address the nervous system through precise spinal adjustments. By addressing the nervous system and improving the tone and function, this technique allows us to improve the body's function as a whole.

Looking Ahead

At TOV Chiropractic, we not only talk about our technique and how it can help the body heal from chronic stress, but we also talk about the benefits of utilizing the Torque Release Technique as a proactive approach to overall health.  Often, we adopt a reactive approach to overall health and find ourselves hoping for the best until something breaks down. By utilizing TRT, adjusting the spine, and removing subluxation, we can strive to keep the nervous system free and clear of interference. After all, when the body functions better, it feels better and heals better.
