Good health doesn’t happen by chance.
We don’t avoid health concerns because we are lucky. Health comes from small choices that add up over time and benefit the function of our overall health. We eat healthy food to fuel our body, we exercise and get movement in our day because we know the benefits, we try to sleep enough, drink enough water, and keep stress to a minimum.
Now, we know that brushing our teeth is essential to a healthy smile, in the same way a healthy spine is essential to a well-functioning nervous system. We can all agree that our nervous system controls every function of the body – therefore, an optimal nervous system is essential for overall health. So, instead of hoping our “good luck” will keep us healthy and well, why not take the steps to be proactive with our health?
A common misconception is that chiropractic care is only for pain management. When treated as such, we wait until the nervous system is already compromised. You have trillions of nerves throughout your body but only 10-20% of them can tell you that you have pain. That means the remaining 80-90% of the nerves are for overall function. You may have dysfunction and not even know it. If we take our health by chance, waiting for pain to arise, we could already be experiencing a significant decrease in nerve function.
